Nominations Open- 2025 International Human Rights Awards

Nominations are open!
The United Nations Association – Boulder County Chapter (UNA-BC) is accepting nominations for the 2025 International Human Rights Award. Since 1996, this award has honored Coloradans who turn the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) into action by advancing dignity, liberty, education, and a decent standard of living.

Who to nominate: Any Colorado individual or organization advancing human rights, with a special welcome for nominations that elevate under-represented voices and build a more humane, inclusive, just, and equitable community. Past honorees include Micklina Kenyi (Girls With Books) and Sunflower Seeds Ukraine.

How to submit (by Oct 15): Email two nomination letters (PDFs), each from a different nominator, describing the nominee’s contributions and impact. Reference UDHR articles as appropriate.
