Our first featured presenter for the month of May is Chris Hibbard. Our discussion will focus on “Trauma and Geopolitical Conflict”.
Dr. Christine Hibbard has been an educator and clinical psychotherapist in Boulder County, Colorado for over forty-five years. In 1980, she co-founded the Family Medical Center, where she also has been the Director of the Boulder Integral Stress Management Clinic since 1982. She is an ordained Interfaith Minister, graduating from One Spirit Seminary. Dr. Hibbard has spent over a period of 15 years teaching and working with post-war trauma in Kosovo, Israel, Syria and Uganda, and is the recipient of the United Nations Association Boulder County Human Rights Award for this work. She was also awarded the US Congressional Recognition Award for her Excellence in International Community Service.
She is former core faculty at Naropa University, former Associate Professor at Holos University, as well as former adjunct faculty at University of Colorado Medical School. She is co-founder of the Uganda Malaria Health Care Project. In addition to being a noted lecturer at conferences and teleseminars, Dr. Hibbard is published in professional journals and in four books relating to Mind/Body/Spirit Medicine, and has written the book, The Heart of Healing: From Trauma to Health and Harmony.
