WORKING TOWARDS A BRIGHTER FUTURE

At United Nations Association of Boulder County we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.

OUR VISION

We envision a world in which humanity is spared the scourge of war, human rights are honoured, the natural environment is protected, and the U.S. is a constructive member of the United Nations for the well-being of all humankind.

OUR CHAPTER

The UNA Boulder County Chapter offers a variety of programs designed to keep Boulder County residents informed on international issues and the efforts of various UN agencies to promote peace, prosperity and health. Our goal is to increase local participation in UNA activities, local awareness of the role of the UN in our daily lives, and local advocacy for the work of the United Nations

OUR MISSION

The UNA-USA is dedicated to strengthening the United Nations system, and the role of the U.S. in that system and to promoting multilateral efforts to advance the goals of the United Nations Charter.

OUR PARTNERSHIP

The UNA-USA is a program of the UN Foundation founded by Ted Turner with the goal of "building bridges to solve global problems." The Foundation supports the work of the UN through its Better World Campaign and its initiatives, such as the Nothing but Nets Campaign and Polio Eradication. The Foundation works on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and promotes universal human rights and biodiversity.

Bill Kellogg UNA Discussion Series

UNA Boulder County regrets the passing of Bill Kellogg, our friend, great humanitarian, and leader of the UNA-BC Discussion Series. We hope to carry on the Bill Kellogg UNA Discussion Series in the tradition that Bill established, but with shared leadership of the individual discussion events. For the first discussion of 2020, we have invited a Uyghur student from the University of Colorado to present information and lead a discussion on current activities affecting Human Rights for Uyghurs in China. This will take place on Thursday, January 23, 3:30 to 5:00 in the Boulder Creek Room of the Boulder Public Library. We hope there will be a good turnout to show support for the continuation of the discussion series, and also to demonstrate the interest of the Boulder community in the presentation on this important human rights issue.

If you have any questions about this specific meeting or about the discussion series in general. Please contact Robert McNown by email at President.unabc@gmail.com or by phone at 303-726-7153.
