HEARTBEAT NEPAL

UNA-BC is excited to announce our partnership and support of Heartbeat Nepal, an organization dedicated to helping people in need in Nepal. Their activities range from providing meals and education, to fundraising for medical needs, providing clothing for children and educational events. Visit their Facebook page for recent activities. Heartbeat organized a January event focused on menstrual hygiene management during COVID. Students of the Basighat Community center participated. The program focused on awareness and was led by Heartbeat and several nurses.

Heartbeat and ROKPA's Food Relief provided hats, socks and gloves to children and adults in Southern Nepal in December. 

The heartbeat team travelled for over 13 hours in late December to provide relief to disadvantaged families in Kalanpur, Chikana by distributing warm clothes and blankets for 50 families.

Heartbeat held a successful 'winterization' campaign to provide sanitary napkins, ration packages, blankets, and warm clothing so that marginalized communities can withstand cold winter temperatures.
