Courageous Conversation Series

UNA-BC in collaboration with local antiracist organizations is working to expand the conversation around social justice.

We are proud to host a Courageous Conversations Series taking place virtually every 4th Tuesday of the month to discuss ways that we can increase equity, diversity, and inclusion as a community.

Dadaab Refugee Schooling Campaign

UNA-BC in collaboration with the Boulder Valley Rotary Club is working to extend schooling opportunities to children at the Bidii School in the Hagadera Refugee camp within the Dadaab Refugee Complex.

Funds raised will help the school purchase supplies, textbooks, equip classrooms with desks, and supply other vital classroom equipment. It will also support teacher training for advanced students in the Dadaab Camp.

CEDAW

UNA-BC joins Colorado The Convention for the Elimination of ALL Forms of Discrimination Against Women

Current UNA-BC Initiatives

UN Day

Every year, on October 24, the Boulder County Chapter celebrates the anniversary of the entry into force of the United Nations Charter in 1945. This momentous event is celebrated worldwide with meetings, discussions, and exhibits on the achievements and goals of the United Nations.

In Boulder County, the commemoration is a celebration including both county non-profits and community members.

During this celebration, organizations are invited to display information about their UN-related work.
